We've been lucky enough to be featured in many sustainable lingerie blogs over the years, and today I'd like to share the love. Yes, as eco brands we are all competing in the same space, but we all have our own unique angle here. Some brands are focussed on recycled product, many are locally manufactured and some also employ those from disadvantaged communities in Australia and abroad to make their garments.
One thing we all have in common is the use of cleaner, botanically sourced materials rather than the traditional synthetics that bras are mostly made from.
Reviewing them all, we are one of the few not to use any spandex or polyester in our products, even sewing thread and labels. We are also the only brand crazy enough to make wireless bras in up to 27 sizes, but thats what always drove me since my cancer treatment in 06/07, ensuring that non-wired bra options in natural fibres were represented in at least the same size ranges as wired bras. It's been hard, and it means we have to manufacture offshore, but none of us here can tick every box, and thats the beauty of it!
Well done to all the other eco-lingerie brands trying to change things, and thanks to all the bloggers who have supported us along the way. I'm sure you'll find many interesting brands in the below blogs.
