Based on our popular new V wire shape, a 100% organic cotton bra with an innovative new shape. With fantastic reviews, we feel we've finally cracked the non-wired bra style up to E cups, V for Victory for sure!
This bra is a perfect size and very comfortable.
very supportive for big sizes and so comfortable too
Im a 12D/DD and I find it hard to find bras that fit well so I have to admit I went into this sceptical. First impressions were that the colour, shape and general appearance were nice and look pretty flattering on. The bra is a little different to typical bra and has a slightly homemade/handcrafted look that I wasn’t expecting but which actually kind of appealed. The positives are that it’s cute! The cups fit nicely and give a pretty good shape. The v gives cleavage without feeling like I’m going to fall out. It’s super soft and feels nice to wear. The cons- I’m not 100% sold on the straps. They are thinner than I like and seem to loosen quite easily. I find I’m having to adjust them during wear. I’m also wearing it on the tightest closure already and if I don’t it tends to ride up. I don’t know if going down a chest size would help, but if it stretches in doesn’t leave me anywhere to go. It’s also not as supportive as I’m used to and although I’m getting used to that and think I could live with it, there are a few work tops etc that I probably wouldn’t wear it under. All that said, I’ve been wearing it straight for a week and have been impressed enough that I’m contemplating buying another one!
I really like this bra. It is very comfortable and I really like the way I look while wearing it. It follows a more naturally shape so my boobs look more like boobs instead of large circles. Also I appreciated the customer service help with sizing. As others have mentioned, it’s not padded so your nipples sometimes show when it’s cold, but I was already wearing soft/thin bras so I’m used to it. For casual wear I don’t care, but for professional outfits I wear a light tank top or undershirt.
I've been wanting the try The Very Good Bra for a while, and one of my old bras finally gave out! I reached out to customer service for help with sizing - I wore 30D in Aerie and they recommended 30C in their sizing. It came today and fits great. The band is a slightly on the tight side but I think it will stretch with time. Seems very high quality and the fabric is comfy. I will update my review after a while with how it wears long term...
My only complaint so far is I wish it had a light padding for the headlights... but overall I am so happy to finally find a compostable bra!
Unfortunately, the bra didn't live up to the hype. Extremely uncomfortable straps, scratchy and dug into my skin within minutes of trying the bra on. Otherwise the fabric felt ok, but I couldn't wear the bra, so decided to return it. On the other hand, the undies are fab and definitely keeping them.
Hi Vivienne, as per our emails, I'm sorry the elastic didn't work for you. There is only one 100% compostable elastic in the world and this is it. Synthetic elastics are much more luxurious and soft but sadly all destined for landfill. We are working with a new style of elastic from the same manufacturer next year which is softer, and wider for larger sizes.
The V for Victory bra's so comfortable to wear. It's the first bra I look for.
I love my new V for victory Bra - as a 16DD it is hard to find non wired bra's that are comfortable and supportive but this bra ticks those boxes plus the environmental consciousness box - what's not to love! These are going to be my go to bra's from now on!!
My v Bra is very comfortable and I love knowing it’s chemical feee and fair trade thanks
I’d love to give this 5 stars as it is a great idea, lovely soft material and nice style. Unfortunately, the straps are too thin and elastic over the shoulders. This makes it uncomfortable for me (E cup) - they dig in. Wider straps, non-elastic over the shoulder is standard in most bras, so I wasn’t expecting this problem.
Hi Debbie, sorry to hear you're disappointed with the straps. Unfortunately, our maker doesn't make this elastic any wider than 13mm so that's what we have to work with. We are however trialling one of their different elastics in a wider width for our next colours. It only comes in 20mm but it feels super soft in wearing so far, and doesn't look overly wide.
